Climbing - Accommodation in El Chorro
El Chorro in southern Spain is a world class climbing venue and a great place for a winter rock climbing holiday - there is lots of rock with routes of all grades, the winter climate is pretty much perfect for climbing and it is easy to get to via Malaga or Granada airports.
We run climbing courses at El Chorro and can also help you find suitable accommodation. There are lots of options for climbers:
Campsite: A great campsite with good facilities, a bar and bungalows. The website is only in Spanish, but easy to search and booking on line is the same in any language. Camping prices are 6 Euros pppn plus 5.40 Euros for a 2 person tent. Cabins are 55 Euros per night.
Just on the outskirts of town within easy walking distance of both crags and bars.
Refugio: Get the authentic refugio experience - basic and noisy, but very sociable. Right in the centre of town with easy access to crags and bars.
Olive Branch: A really nice B+B set just above the village below Encantadas. There are five nice en-suite bedrooms with all towels and bedding provided. There is a large well-kitted communal kitchen and dining room plus two terraces for warmer weather. There is also a swimming pool.
There is also a separate self-contained 3 bedroom guesthouse available. You have the option of individual bed and breakfast bedrooms or renting the entire house for exclusive use. The house can sleep up to 8 people with towels and bedding provided.
3 minutes drive or hitch/10 minutes steep walk from the village.
Lots of accommodation/pricing options from 10 Euros pppn for a bunk room and en-suite rooms from 13 Euros pppn.
Above all the owners are really nice people.
Finca RocaBella: A nice, up-market set-up about 10 minutes drive from the village - car needed. There are 10 self contained villas and one apartment. Prices are around 150+ Euros a night for the villas in low season and 60 Euros for the apartment. There is also a good restaurant on the grounds.

- Spanish language tuition. Silvia is a native Spanish speaker and a qualified Modern Languages Teacher.
